Query: Anyone seen any skimmer missions?

The new patch supposedly made it so skimmers will only spawn when you take your SRV down to do them.. but no one has found any skimmer missions anywhere to try as of this writing at the patch thread

I wondered if anyone else has seen skimmer missions on the mission boards.. wanted to wait to see before I did a bug report for it (ie No skimmer missions appearing)

Oh yeah, they still appear while approaching on the ship.. no need for SRV

I noticed the skimmers in the mission I ran earlier today no longer have shields... Not too sure if that's by design or a bug

I'm one of those who would consider this a feature, not a bug.. they originally said they would be improving anti-ship defences for these missions.. I dont know why they decided to make it SRV only.

Some have shields, some don't, that's normal.

Stingers don't have shields, these were just the run of the mill sentry skimmers that used to be shielded, now they're not.

Just tried that at a spot .. for me anyhow. .the skimmer didnt spawn when I broke the trespass plain.

Also... brought a wingman with me.. and he touched down to activate the skimmers with his SRV.. I could then fire at them and kill them.. but they didnt count as kills for my mission.. so Frontier apparently cares how the skimmer is killed.

I think if they toughened the bases defences (like they have) that would have made it much tougher for ships to do these.. but still doable.. not allowing them to be killed at all from ships (not counting them towards a mission) is once again Fdev overkill.

They counted for me, seriously, and I woke them up with the ship, no SRV.
