Discussion [QUERY] Update on the External API

"Michael Brookes" final post on this requirements thread indicated "a few weeks" for an update, and that was back in Feb:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...uirements-Thread/page32?p=1806589#post1806589

Is there any update on this?

We may need a new thread for requirements after the engineers update as there are certain Engineer related things we're likely to want access to, especially the inventory of materials and data, but also blueprints, engineers known about and the state/level of access etc.

That was in Feb 2015... If I were you I would not count much in an update ^^

Yep. I am hoping to prompt .. something. I would really like to be able to write something to avoid having to manually input my materials into websites/tools and instead have it automatically tracked.

There is some hope. See the Commanders log manual and data sample thread. The .doc file has been converted to PDF by biobob and put on EDCOdex. You can find it here. The MaterialCollected, MaterialDiscarded, MaterialDiscovered might be usefull. Not sure if they also revert to mats. If so its a matter of entering manually info once is the appropriate tools and then it can get auto updated by reading the JSON file.

Thanks. I saw that thread and posted a couple of comments about materials already :)
