Can you "Gift" the game?

I'd like to give a gift of the game to a player who wins a Squadron Event to be used as an alt.
Possible?

I'm surprised that nobody has answered you definitively.

I remember that I was not able to gift the actual game from the Frontier store some months ago, support informed me that there was no way to do it even manually by them. Since there is no "This is a gift" tickbox on the Horizons page either then I think it is probably not possible for that too.

However, two years ago I was gifted a Commander Edition on Steam by my GF - so gifting on Steam might be viable for you - just a guess.
