Question about community goals

Hypothetically, and totally not centered around selling a smaller ship because buying a bigger one will make it obsolete (ok, maybe it is, but let's stay hypothetical), is their any point using a smaller ship for a CG? As in, do smaller ships get a modifier of some sort to compete against bigger ships for the top rankings of the CG, or should I just bring the largest ship I can?

I'm mainly talking about a trade CG.

No, for trade goals it's the ship that can get the most cargo to the location as fast as possible ships like the python, cutter, anaconda, your not going to get very much cargo to the goal in a cobra or hauler for example.

If you want CGs that suit small ships, look for rare goods CGs.

Or CGs to outposts without large pads, like Hutton.

Rare goods and salvage CGs work really well in small ships. But everything else is pretty much either dedicated hauler or combat, biggest you can afford!
