Question about conflict zones

When I play in conflict zones, everything is fine for roughly 10 minutes and then suddenly "big daddy" turns up and melts my sheilds with a railgun. I thought it was a one off but I have tried multiple conflict zones and roughly after the same time, the same thing happens.
Is this programmed into the game or something or am I just unlucky. It is like the game says "You've had your fun, now scram!" I try and fight back but "big daddy" will have none of it, I have to super cruise out of there.

Can't say I have ever noticed that.

The only pattern I have noticed is that I tended to naturally work my way into the middle of the CZ and then, suddenly, everyone seems to turn on you. It makes sense I guess, being the guy doing most of the killing and invariably being in a big fat juicy target. Anyway, I just slightly modified my behavior and headed out to the outskirts again. Just head for the area with lots of greens!

What are u flying? If it is a small ship run to your friends and don't get surrounded. Use ur speed. Highwake if necessary. If a big ship then IDK.

no its not a capital ship, it might be like you say, everyone turns on you. But the strange part is that they suddenly bring out the big guns and even in a Conda or T10 they seem invincible and the only way out is supercruise.

There is a threshold at which you become the highest threat in the instance to your enemies. When this happens to me, I make a tactical retreat and re-enter the fight when the heat is off. You don't necessarily have to leave the instance, just get out of range of your attackers. Let your shields recover, and get back in the fight, if possible.

I have a rule, especially in CZ's, where the NPCs can be particularly tough, if more than three enemies are firing on me, it's time to reset my contact with the scrum.

That happens frequently. The trick is to keep your side focused and winning. Then, as more enemies pop in, you can evade being ganked.

If it is a thing I guess it's there to discourage farming.

Go in, grab a few combat bonds & mats, jump out & cash them in, rinse & repeat.

I've been using long range lasers recently, in a fast ship so I can dictate the engagement. Hang off the main battle group to one side, select a target with lots of greens around it & pull down their shields from 5km away. The nearby greens will finish them off, then move on to the next.

From further back you can keep an eye on the spawn rate, and if any reds spawn in near you use your speed to move position & try to direct the green pack around. It's not as exciting as getting stuck in, but it's a more effective way to manage the threat.

Are your shields engineered? Without thermal resistance the abundance of plasma and rail will do your shields in short order. On the other hand I happily scoop mats while a python is constantly hitting me with rails. I did have to take him out eventually because he was wearing my shields down.
