My data from console will absolutely not update and hasnt since June. Its because i use my phone and dont own a computer. It takes incredibly long and starts over everytime the screen times out. Ive tried to put in support tickets, they said theres no problem i just have to leave it open for a few hours. How is a person with a job supposed to keep their phone screen open that long? The question is, Does it take a bit of time (5+ days) to update your exploration data in EDSM? here's the reason for the question.
I recently returned to Colonia from a small trip. I found an area with a bunch of Helium-Rich Gas Giants so I began surveying the area. I visited around 300 systems in the area and found quite a few HRGG's. I didn't upload any of my data from EDD to EDSM until I returned to Colonia last Wednesday. Not because I'm paranoid about someone stealing my discoveries I just don't run EDD all the time when I play so I tend to just do batch uploads every so often. Anyways, None of the HRGG's I discovered are showing up in my exploration data on EDSM. When I look at my HRGG's it says I have 32 first discovered. While I didn't keep a good record I must have found 70+ in this region and those 32 are all prior discoveries anyways.
All of my other data in EDSM appears current such as assets, number of scanned systems and my exploration income. My flight log has all of the systems I visited during the survey listed but when I check them they list no bodies. I'm not terribly well versed with how EDSM collates all the data that is uploaded to it. I'm just being impatient and just want to know how many HRGG's I actually found during that survey. The real lesson here is I should keep my own records when I do something like this!
They need to make an android/iPhone app and quit living in the past. Everything is done on phones these days
Its about cost efficiency. I have no actual need for a computer. I DO need a phone. I can afford a phone, i cant afford a computer. I wasnt saying ' they should make this or else blah blah blah' just that this day and age when everything is mobile, getting on board isnt a bad idea. Real quick to jump on my back about it though. I feel like you took that personal in some way. Are you a volunteer for them?dude, it's voluntary work. it's not their fault that your particular platform doesn't allow third party apps like a regular windows pc does. if it did you'd probably could use it on the same hardware and over the same line you use for the game just like regular pc users do. i don't need my phone at all while playing. dunno, quit living in a walled garden?![]()

I suppose it's easy to seem inconsiderate when you feel unconsidered.no, and no.
actually, yes you did, by implying they are "living in the past" just because they don't perfectly fit your particular setup (like, you are the future, i guess?). in a nutshell that's choosing the wrong platform and then telling a couple of guys that use their spare time to write some software to provide a free service to "get on with the times" so you can have it all. first, that's totally wrong from the get go and second it's an at least impolite way to float your suggestion to such people ... with whom (disclaimer) i don't have anything to do. it's not that i feel they should be offended, they shouldn't nor would that be my concern, it's just your position seemed very Inconsiderate, something i understood as the usual rudeness that often accompanies ignorance and just tried to dispel.
nothing personal. hope this clears this up.
