question about decaying merits?!

So today i just reached 10k merits this will be the third cycle for me i am currently rank 4 and have 4,683 merits with 5,459 merits turning in for total of 10,142 merits for the 10k mark will the Decay Put me below 10k and then make me ineligible for rank 5? or will the decay be accounted for after it promotes me? in essence im asking do i need farm up 750 more merits?

decay will happen after your promotion :)

Edit: just make sure you cash them in in time ;)

excellent So i will be rank 5 in the morning woots and then next week ill get the 50 mill i grined sooo hard T.T so many feds i killed >:D
