Newcomer / Intro Question about dev statistic tracking

Hello,
So full transparency, I'm not a new player I've been playing for 4 years. I've been accused of combat logging, from a very long time ago. I've never intentionally done such a thing, but i have no proof. I've heard it claimed that Frontier can identify an intentional combat log (I'm on xbox so aka quit to dashboard)
If this is true can i email support and ask them to take a one time look to clear my name?

You can contact support about whatever you like - and people do. Not sure it's a good use of their time, but knock yourself out.

Intent does not apply. A combat log is a combat log, whether you intended to do it or not. It's not an accusation. Either it happened or it did not. It's not a big deal. Let it go and play the game. Attempting to clear your name is pointless and probably will get you nowhere. I think you're wasting your time (and Frontier's) by doing so.

You can easily avoid ever doing it again, assuming you ever did in the first place.

Why would you want to, just ignore the feeble accuser?

If you havent done it deliberately, Im on XB and it will randomly crash due to something or other I have no clue about, but luckily never in Combat apart from CQC, when I instantly start sendind DMs 'I didnt clog I got booted' usually getting the response 'Me too' :)

Best bet if youre innocent is to say 'Yes I clogged on you, so what?'. It will drive them mad which they deserve for throwing accusations around :) If Frontier do get in touch which would be very very rare then tell them the truth that you were just winding the idiots up.

I dont see how Frontier can tell if its a clog or a disco, unless its repeated behaviour obviously, if you constantly disco when lose shields they may make an assumption but guaranteed the onus of proof is on the other side to prove it was deliberate not on you to prove you didnt, too many ways it can happen innocently. I made the joke on another thread that I apparently clog a lot when trying to enter SC in busy systems but anybody can see thats the last thing Im wanting to happen.

Overall dont worry about it, not worth you worrying about them or what they think.

AFAIK there's no such Option to "clear your name" from being called out by others.

Even IF FDev looked into the Data, they'd only do so over reports from others. Those reports never get a response, as they never share actions taken or not.
Hence asking yourself for an investigation to prove your innocence is literally not a thing around here.

Just ignore it and enjoy the fact that you're still flying around within any implications - which is the only proof that you need.
The concept of "Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit non qui negat" applies.

Burden of proof is on the one who declares, not on one who denies. Innocent unless proven guilty.

If you are really bugged about this why not ask support to change your commander name (they will do this once with a good reason). Although I wonder if XBox players are confined to their gamer-tag (or whatever it is called).

Personally I would just ignore it, I have never lost connection whilst in combat but I have had other network issues years ago before F D sorted some issues. Don't take ownership of some prune labelling you. Good luck.
