Although I have been playing Elite Dangerous for some year, I am new to usiong fighters.
Just to understand what happened.
I was in a conflict zone, and I was piloting the fighter. My NPC crew member was in charge of my ship.
Suddenly the ship disappeared and I was faced with the countdown that resulted in the fighter self-destroying.
On the moment I thought "the ship has been blown up". But no. I was looking at it, it just disappeared.
I was however waiting for a rebuy screen, but nothing happened, I kept seeing a black screen with stars and some debris of my fighter.
I exited the game, logged back in, and there I was, safely in my ship and with the fighter available.
What did it happen? Is it possible that my stupid NPC crew member just high waked?
