Question about finding surface facilities on planets

I'm trying to gain knowledge about exploring. I'll use the example of Chukwunyelu mining platform in the Colonia system.

There is a picture of it. I've scanned that planet and it doesn't appear on the scan. How do I find it?

That's an Odyssey settlement and won't appear unless you have Odyssey.

When I'm at a station and scroll through minerals there is a list of sale price at nearby facilities. Is there a way to tell which are Odyssey?

I don't THINK the game will display any stations that aren't physically in your version of the game, though of course it will show you outposts, which you can't land a big ship at, even if you happen to be in one ...

If you're looking up the likes of eddb.io, it SHOULD have a, perhaps rather small, label or symbol differentiating Odyssey stations from "normal" ones .

sadly, the game does show Odyssey places in the Horizons Market

I think they fixed it once, but its there again.

pretty sure last update took away station facilities from the map and allowed Odyssey market to leak into Horizons, again on both counts.

and if you do not have Odyssey then Inara or eddb is your best bet

Yep the Ody settlements have crept back into the list which makes it near impossible to decypher in Horizons.
The term 'Mining Platform' in the name is probably the biggest clue. It's fairly common for an Ody excavation settlement.

That EDSM entry actually says "Odyssey Settlement"

Checking on EDDB it also just says Odyssey Settlement.

As a rough guide Horizons starports usually have a two word name, whilst Odyssey settlements tend to have a three word name.

Yeah that's a bug that's come back after update 13 I believe, feel free to add to the current bug report.

I think the issue might have been fixed. I don't see any obvious Odyssey settlements in the list or map currently.
