Question about fleet cariers ( in live and legacy mode )

If i have a fleet carrier on PS ( Horizon 3.8, Legacy mode ) is it going to disappear from the galaxy in on PC ( Horizon 4.0, Live mode ) and vice versa. Or are they still going to be persistent in both versions of the game ?

3.8 and 4.0 are independent galaxies from update 14 but hey will be clones of each other on 29th, The FC will remain on 3.8 and 4.0 untill the money expires and is decommissioned...
You will only be able to controll the fleet carrier in 3.8 on PS4 as you have no access to 4.0 unlike PC users.

you will not be able to move the FC in 4.0 or change any setting of that FC..
Any changes to 3.8 FC will not be seen in 4.0 as progression is going to be locked to 3.8 for all console users..

Carriers are not moved in the free account copy to PC as they allready are allready seen on every version...

For an example.
Prior to the other week, I had a copy of the game on XBox.
I had a Carrier on that copy of the game. This carrier appears currently in 3.8 and 4.0
I copied my account to PC.
I then purchased a new carrier on the PC cmdr.
I now have two carriers. One owned by the XBox copy of my cmdr, one owned by the PC copy. They are both hanging out together in the same nebula right now in 3.8 and 4.0

After next week:

I will have two carriers in 3.8, one owned by the 3.8 version of my PC cmdr, one owned by my XBox cmdr.
I will have ONE carrier in 4.0, owned by the 4.0 version of my PC cmdr.

The ENTIRE GALAXY is being duplicated between the two servers. That will mean everything in every kind of inventory everywhere. Your FC on the new server will have everything in it that your FC on the old server has.

I asked the following question in the thread about Update 14 and Beyond and thought the answer, when it arrives, might be of interest to readers of this thread:

I have a question regarding account usage. At the moment, if I log in to Odyssey on one PC and then log in to Horizons 3.8 on another PC - using the same account credentials, one of them is logged out with a message saying the account is unavailable.
After update 14, will it be possible to log in as described and run the two sessions side-by-side? I'm currently in the middle of a long expedition using my carrier to support both Horizons and Odyssey players. I cannot leave one or other carrier behind and will need to jump both 3.8 and 4.0 carriers over long distances. The ability to run two sessions would make this task a lot easier.

As I understand it, your Commander is also being cloned: there will be two copies with the same name and (initially) the same attributes leading separate lives.
It's bad enough leading two RL lives.

I'll be staying on the legacy server where my PC cmdr and my XBox cmdr can live lives in a shared galaxy working together to common goals.

Wonder if FDev could run a bit of code to remove all the FCs that will always be undockable due to current player settings.

Well, assuming it could be done without potentially nuking all of them.

Or rather all the carrier that will be effectively ownerless (ones owned by console CMDRs).

Someone who has XBox or PS4 will have no access to "Live" at all. So any console carrier on Live is effectively without owner.

Indeed, so either they eventually run out of credits and are decommissioned, or the backend cannot handle a carrier without an associated account it's registered to and it poofs out of existence the moment the server is booted up post-split.

Yeah maybe on the latter, although based on a thread someone had posted on reddit the other day with a conversation with Sally, it seems there will be a "live" version of the console CMDR on the backend. Just that there's literally no way for said console player to actually access it.

Or... FD has for once actually foressen this scenario, and any ownerless carriers will become Thargoid infested instead.

Sorry if this is answered above but I'm in a bar and scan reading...
If on PC and only PC does it mean the carriers separate as separate entities? Totally independent of each other?
So if I move one in live it stays put in the other and vice versa?
Also the costs are only in one instance or the other? (As I read somewhere people were rushing to sell them because they were worried about 2x costs (well obviously, but for "same" carrier.. which I thought was surely not..)

Like in Beta - two entirely independent Galaxies. The costs are in each instance, yes - but they're taken from this instance's account; you can't transfer (or be deducted) Credits between them. Your live CMDR can't pay the debts of your legacy CMDR, and your legacy CMDR can't transfer Credits to your live CMDR.

That's what I thought (and seems totally logical)
Thought I'd double check to be 100%
Thanks
