Question about fortified systems.

If a rival power had an isolated fortified system that supported 20 exploited systems, if you undermined the fortified system down to exploited would it free the 20 exploited systems as there are no other fortified systems.

And would the ex fortified system be free as well as there are no other fortified systems to support it?

That's correct, they lose the lot in that case.

I'm not sure what the order of processing would be if they managed to boost one of the other Exploited systems up to Fortified in the same week; I would guess the newly-Fortified system would remain and continue to support anything sufficiently close to it.
