PvP Question about heat regarding Imp hammers v normal rails

I'm looking for some clarification on the heat generated by imp hammers compared to regular rail guns.

The stats listed for each are 20 for regular rails and 11 for imp hammers unmodified, but is that 11 x 3 for one complete burst of the hammers making them hotter than regular rails, or is that 11 for the whole 3 bursts of one firing making them cooler?

Any help appreciated.

I don't know the specific heat values, but hammers are always hotter. It's likely 11x3 for heat generation.

i just know, high capacity Hammers are able to overheat you VERY fast (up to 6 shots per volley)
