Was wondering how the ships worked. Mainly the power plant, fuel, and how the engines worked.

Power plant is hydrogen fusion. Fuel is hydrogen, but nothing is mentioned what isotopes.
Thrusters: hot gasses, probably hydrogen and helium.
Frameshift warps space around your ship.
It's sci-fi, don't overthink it.
