question about inara

I've recently came back to ED, and associated my Inara account with ED.
I'm courious as to how often aka when does it update. My current mat's don't match
that Inara engineering section states.

Is there a way to stop Inara auto-updating? How do you turn this off?

I seem to remember the Old Inara had a setting to disable the auto-updates, but cant find it on the new Inara site.
Maybe @Artie can help here and confirm if there is such a setting?

I can see a value in it if you found something that you may want to keep for yourself at least for a while, so i'd say there is a case to have a disable automatic updates setting.

It's because I am switching between 3 or 4 different CMDR accounts, and I don't want Inara instantly trying to upload my main account when I am opening it to sign out and then sign in as the secondary I am currently using in-game.

I use 3 different browsers for that and in each browser i have saved inara credentials for a different account (fdev: opera, epic: edge, steam: firefox)
Easier to keep thing separated that way - and that includes not only Inara, but also the interactions with the issue tracker or frontier support

Just to respond to the questions here (thanks Northpin for the ping!):
  • Auto-updates on Inara are made roughly once per day (the exact time may vary, it's simply ~24 hours since your last import). The updates/imports are made by the backend based on the last import timestamp, signing in/out of Inara has no effect.
  • The import can be also triggered manually by clicking the button on your CMDR page, as mentioned. But for the real-time updates is best to utilize apps like EDMC, EDDiscovery or EDDI and hook it via API to Inara (the API key is available in the commander settings on Inara) and then just let the auto-updates to "fill the gaps".
  • There is no way to pause the auto-updates, but you can simply unlink the game account which will stop the updates (obviously ;) ) or let the Frontier's OAuth tokens expire (which should happen ~30 days since the authentication).

Now I am getting this:

GAME JOURNAL IMPORT 2024-04-01
Download failed

Your access/refresh tokens expired or there is a new authentication required by Frontier's service. Please perform a new authentication.
[httpCode: 400, fetchCode: 0]

Going in a circular loop with Inara and the Frontier and Epic logins.

It's the same case as mentioned earlier - please try to hop into the game first, it should "clear the path" on Frontier's end.

D'oh. Something so ridiculously simple... always the last thing to spring to mind! Thank you.
I've had the devil's own job with password managers recently so reset all those just in case, but it wasn't them it was me!
