Ship Builds & Load Outs Question about Mining with drones

Hello Commanders,

looks like I'm in the mood for some peaceful mining this weekend. So I prepared my lovely Cobra. I tried to use the collector-drones for the first time and bought some of them.

I marked the minerals for my drone and it collected it, but then it expired... is it normal that the drone can only carry one canister and that's it? I thought they will go on collecting some more till they expire!?

Don't target the fragments, else limpet collects that one and dies. Launch them without targets and they stay for time limit,collecting everything nearby

What Panpiper. said is correct. Common error that isn't really explained by the game.

Side note since I started using them only last week: don't put an asteroid between you and any fragments or each limpet will valiantly attempt to fly straight through the asteroid to pick up that 1 fragment, exploding in sequence like on that old Lemmings game ;)

Sounds funny, I'll keep my eyes open... Thank You for the tip! When it is like that, I'll use them a while for sure!

But I also enjoyed the manual Pick-Up-Procedure: Ding Ding DingDingDingDingTschschschschsch... after a while I collected them within some seconds, after I shoot them out the asteroid... it felt great!

100% correct but only in 1.4 when it comes in 2 days, at the moment it just tells you what the rock consists of. After 1.4 they move towards the "must have" list :)
