Question about Missile Racks on a Viper

I bought two fixed B1 dumbfire missile racks for my Viper and equipped them both as secondary fire.

For some reason only one of them fires when I trigger my secondary weapons, although they both show on the HUD (I only see a missile launch from the port side, nothing from starboard). Is it possible to have them both fire at the same time?

Also, even though they are both B1, one shows on the modules screen as MISSILE RACK (6/6) and the other as MISSILE RACK (8/16). What does that mean? It doesn't seem to correspond to the ammo, although they do both hold different amount when I go to buy munitions.

Sounds like you bought one rack of guided missiles and one rack of dumb ones.

Yes, you were exactly right. I just wasn't familiar enough with them to tell the difference yet and there isn't anything in the modules screen that differentiates them as dumb or seeking).
