Engineers Question about modding then changing components.

If you mod let's say a B7 Thruster with an engineer then later on buy a A7 Thruster....do you lose your modification that you got from the engineer? I would think yes but I just want a confirmation on this. Thanks in advance.

Yes, as the modification from the engineer only applies to that specific module. You can transfer it to other ships, though, like with other modules from 2.0 and before.
