Question about multiple cargo run missions

Dear CMDRs,

I accepted a mission to run 6000 items to another station. I have 600T capacity, so 10 runs should do it.

However, I made a mistake with the interdiction early in, and got wasted - so lost the cargo. Despite being insured. The mission states that the goods cannot be replaced.

My question is - before I abandon the mission, is there any point finishing it? Will I get partial pay out? Anybody know what happens under these circumstances?

Confirmed: Not Bugged.

Based on your advice, I continued and eventually finished. The pay reduction was minor and near-representitive of %-based 'failure'.

Just replying here so if someone else searches for this in future it will be documented for them.
