Charonosaurus is from China. Parasaurolophus is exclusive to North America. There are some who lump Charono into the genus Parasaurolophus. It's definitely Parasaurolophus' closest relative. Although Charonosaurus is from much later rocks. Parasaurolophus is from the Campanian, while Charonosaurus is from the late Maastrichtian. Is the Para a North American species, or was it also found in Asia? I always thought there was an Asian species very similar to it.
Fortunately we already have an answer, Colin Trevorrow confirmed... is a ParasaurolophusIt's clearly the same dinosaur as from that leaked promotional image. So it can only either be Parasaurolophus or Charonosaurus. Nothing else looks like it.

Is this a Para, or a new dinosaur? I really like the look of the dinosaur.
