Question about piracy, from a traders view

Hi,

So I was just interdicted multiple times by a pirate, I'm in a conda so he really cant stop me and I kept jumping away and the to throw him off my scent I would jump straight back to normal space, wait for my shields then go back into SC, I did this three or four times and I was loving the cat and mouse chase!

But then he friend requests me so im like ok and he accuses me of cheating and using an exploit, so im not having that! it being my first PVP ex as I normally live in solo, I explain what im doing and he tells me it is an exploit because he cant see my wake. What I want to know is if there is any truth to this as I thought it was a genuine tactic??

P.S it was nice to see a genuine pirate and he only asked for 50t so I gave it to him and he did apologize to me a lot for telling me to "burn in hell" lol

Nope lol. Absolutely genuine. Pirate is mad. Also friend requesting you so he can try and keep track of you..

The problem with this is that I have literally no way to follow into his low wake - as it never appears for me when I follow him back into supercruise. It is nothing short of an exploit to me, given the horrid networking of this game.

I have a ton of traders added to my friend list, though doing so to track them is extremely cheap. I add people because I had a pleasant time with them, not to be a jerk.

Yea I would never combat log haha I know that is cheating, thanks for the response, next time he wont catch me hahaha! I had my girlfriend shouting at me saying "dont give him your cargo he is a !" lol but it was my first pirate xp so maybe I was enjoying someone take my profit to much hahaha
