So I was wondering earlier- If I defect from a power, but still have power specific modules equipped on a ship(power specific modules that I can no longer purchase), would buyback still work even though I couldn't buy the module originally? I know that if I sell a module at a station that doesn't carry that module on its own, I can still rebuy that module shortly after despite the station not selling it normally. My question is, does this work with PP modules that you can no longer buy since you aren't in the power anymore? I want to know this since I'm curious if I could store PP modules on a ship and switch which ship its on later once I've defected from the power than offers said module.
Originally, this might work (transferring to specials to other ships). But I have seen reports, that module transfer does not work any more (for any module) in 1.4.
Hence, it is better not to count on transfers and stick with your power.
