Question about rail gun engineering upgrade

Has anyone tested to see if the imperial hammers can be modified in the engineering update on the pc beta? I know some people are lurking around that play both systems aswell, I just haven't dedicated into the pc version yet until I max out the console version first :S

I'm not on PC, but I'd guess that since powerplay faction items are upgrades to existing item types already, I think they won't be modifiable, though I am, too, curious about this.

It would be sweet if it did work, since it's the only burst fire railgun in the game right now.

I watched one of Kornelius Briedis' live-streams the other day and some of the engineers were selling PP modules (I assume as part of the Beta tests only) so I think it may be possible to mod them with the engineers as well.

Do you have a link so I can view it? If not, then thank you for the hint they may be doing it.

I may have misunderstood it but I think it was said that powerplay weapons can be modified by engineers in a countdown to the engineers live stream (part 3) the other day.[h=1][/h]

No probs. There are a lot of people on the forums more knowledgeable than me who might be able to shed some more light on it. They do mention some interesting non combat improvements as well. FSD, sensors, fuel efficiency etc.

Another being corrosive resistant cargo bays, making carrying UAs much more viable.
