Newcomer / Intro Question About Selling Exploration Data.

So I've been enjoying the sight-seeing of the unique star systems that I come across. I've been enjoying it a lot. A LOT a lot. It's also a pretty relaxing way to rack up those CRs.

One thing I've been wondering though (and I haven't quite looked into it because I get side-tracked way too easily) is this:

When you sell your exploration data to a station, does the information you sold get removed from your ship entirely? If so, does that mean you have to go back to the systems and re-scan them to keep them in your database?

Furthermore, if you DO have to re-scan them, does that mean I can go find a group of cool, high-profit systems, scan them, go back and sell it, and then go back to the same exact systems and rinse and repeat?

AFAIK, once you discovered a new astronomical object, you won't discover it again, even after you sold exploration data to a station. I'm not a real explorer so I might be saying something not entirely accurate, but in mi little experience, when I went a second time to a system I explored before, it didn't show up as "New astronomical object".

Yeah once you explore it, its done!
When you sell exploration data to a station your influence with the faction gets better.
So its important thing, get ally with a faction and sell them the data if you not.
Don't sell it to any station out there just to get the cash!

Fly safe..
