Question about ship wrecks on planets

So I'm just wondering about wreckage sites like the Anaconda with the barnacles and the other Anaconda (don't remember which planet the other was on). Are there supposed to be other wreckage sites like these scattered about space? Or are the only ones deliberately placed by the devs? Just curious because I think I've only seen shots posted of those two Anaconda sites and I think it would be cool if there's the chance that I could stumble upon something while exploring.

I have been keeping a lookout for these, but the only wrecks I have come across are wrecked SRVs with a few canisters,
I am yet to stumble across a T9 or an Anaconda. Maybe in future updates the spawn rate gets increased.

In 2.1 I heard you'll have to find ship wreckage on planets surface to get some required elements for crafting.
Not sure though

There are quite a few variations in wrecks, but i've yet to see anything like those that were shown in development of Horizons, where they showed the crash site with the T9 and Anaconda or whatever they were. Most of the time, i can't even tell what type of ship it was that crashed, although once i think i identified a crashed ship a Dropship due to a fairly intact piece of hull.

Not sure here, but i think that placed one is a bit different simply because its placed. For most wrecks they do some PG magic, and do some modelling breaking up the hull then scatter it around. This probably models it quite realistically, but also means the crashed ships are usually difficult to identify.
