Anyone know if you'll be able to access bookmarks from the left screen directly? For example, I'm trading between two systems and instead of having to go to the galaxy map (wait for it to load,) find the system, open the system map (wait for it to load,) find the station, and select it. I just hit "1" tab over to where the bookmarks are and select the system/station there.

Note: When the beta sub-forums pop up it's best to send someone a private message who has beta access because otherwise the whole testing forums turns into people asking questions. So how is such Beta Access gained?

You can currently only gain it by buying it or winning the rare competitions that Frontier hold on some of their livestreams. Currently it's not on sale.
Before it became a DLC the Horizons season for example could be bought as just the game or the game + beta for ~£10 more.
It's also available for purchases of the lifetime pass or people that backed at kickstarter.
Very rarely they do an open beta such as with the 1.4 CQC update to stresstest the servers. Anyone can access these but they are pretty uncommon as things go.
There's often a few arguments about beta since people think the players get an unfair advantage. In a way thats true because they get to preview content and updates but since the progress isn't saved in beta and the betas are usually full of bugs (the whole reason for beta
). In any case a ton of youtube vids, streams and posts on the forums keep everyone else updated as the beta players themselves.
In case you missed it a recent live-stream or dev update or something spoiled that there would be galaxy map bookmarks in 2.1. Hence the discussion.
