Horizons Question about the new 'passenger stuck in cabins' bug

As many of you know, we got a new bug that makes passenger stuck in cabins, which makes the cabins useless and hinders you to change modules and ships.
I got the bug yesterday :(

What I wonder is, do anyone know if dying will fix it? Anyone tried it?

Yes the only fix is to destroy your ship that I know of. They are going to fix it. Mixed up a few words. Should say ARE THEY going to fix it. They gave me back the money when I asked for it. It gets old so I stopped asking and just ate the loss.

Yeah, killing off those vermins in the cabin with fire did work well.

Thanks :)

If you are going to die, strip your ship down and save the modules so you don't lose too much cash. Or just do it anyway and save the time !

But a workaround is to go to the "store multiples" option in swapping out your cabins, and that gets rid of the passengers without a need to die.

This description from Commander Kzak: To get rid of mission-less passengers, dock at any station with Outfitting. Go to Outfitting, then Stored Modules (don't go to Optional Internal) and click 'Store multiple'. Store your passenger cabins, this should remove the passengers, and put the cabins back aboard your ship. You should now be able to go about your business as normal.

NOTE! This workaround has worked in the past, but some get an error-message instead.

Yeah, I did strip down the ship to a minimum. Re-buy cost for my Python was about 4,5 mill. Well worth it in my oponion.

But the 'store multiple' fix I will try next time. Thanks for the tip :)

i don't care about the money so much, but it's really borked my stats and i'm wondering if i should ask FD to fix it.

in over 2 years of play, my total rebuys were only 4 mil. one bugged mission and one self-destructed Cutter later, now my total is 20 mil. not a small increase, but instead a huge stain on my stats page. i want it back to 4 mil again.

This does not work... When I choose the cable from the optional I get an outfitting error when I try to store it and it just sends me back to outfitting...
the modules fix didn't work for me either, it was self-destruct or nothing.

I had this happen to me yesterday after returning from a trip with 7 passengers. One of them refused to leave. I exited the game to the menu and went back into it in different modes a few times (open and solo). After about the 4th or 5th time, the passenger was finally gone. No ship destruction necessary.
