Question about the Shipyard

Thanks Kolourblynd, good advice ... I bought the Hauler tonight and I'm quite enjoying it, i have a trade route i use regularly and have never had a problem with pirates, it seems safe, I was able to make 3500cr every round trip in the Sidewinder so credits accumulated reasonably quickly, i reckon I could do very well in the Hauler on the same run and quickly build enough for the Cobra.

Just in case, what's the best weapon to mount on the Hauler since it only has one hard point ?

I wouldnt bother with any weapons, I would just avoid all combat and save up for the cobra.

Only thing I would buy to it is defensive stuff.
Like point defence turret to shoot down incoming missiles. But don't forget to buy ammo for it, if you use it.

And also heat sinker ( ammo as well) to drop those, if you built up to much heat when you boost and prepare for a fast jump. ( Those heatsinker can also draw missiles attention, like a decoy, so it actually serv 2 purposes )

And if you want to last little longer, better hull armour like the mirrored, that is the best overall for most weapons. But not that good against missiles, but you have your point defence turret for that But those armours are real expensive.

Don't bother to fight in it as even a starter ship sidewinder will take you out.
The Hauler is purely for trading.

Where do you get mirrored from? I didn't realize there was more than standard and reinforced in the beta.

Not sure what station sells it. Could be in Bootis or Daian. But just fly around in different system until you find it Sometimes a reload of the game could also trigger different items that's aviable at a station.

Chango Dock had Mirrored available on one of my visits last night.
