Question about track rides

So I've heard that the Iron Horse and Connie Express are very loud when they go around the park. So loud that people close them. Before I make one my self, does anyone else have experience with this? Maybe theres a way to tone done the noise it makes?

Connie and Iron Horse are indeed reasonably loud but hey, they're steam trains, which were never known for stealth. I don't find them any louder just chuffing along than any nearby flat ride p[laying its music at 100% volume. What's louder is their whistles, but they only blow their whistles when their track changes up/down pitch, so if you keep the track mostly level, you won't hear much of that. Which is a shame. I have my trains changing elevation frequently just so they blow their whistles ;)
