Question about Trading with Fleet Carriers and getting Banned .

Hi all,

So there is one thing i do not understand.
A Steam Friend of me was playing in Open Game Mode, other Player told him he should follow him to his Fleet Carrier if he need some ingame Cash cause there he could trade for a high Buy Price.

So he did exaclty that , he told me he bought something at the Carrier and after that sold it again and after that got 5 billion Credits.
Now his Account was banned and the Support tells him he was hacking or Real Money Trading.

To be honest for Hacking he does not have the needed Knowledge , and Real Money Trading why he should do that for a Game he did not play much before?

So its hard to Understand for me, that someone who did not play the game before very often , and now starts again cause he found out that i play it too get banned cause he sold something at a Player Owned Carrier. If Frontier allow Carrier Owners to set Buy and Sell Orders with Option to set a Price how can this be Hacking or Real Money trading?
Yes the 5 Billion is a ton of money, he told me the other Player said 5 Millions so seems it was a Mistake or possible the other Guy was a .......

But for me it has a bad Smell that you can do something on a Player Owned Ship and get banned for it and loosing access not only to the Open Game but loosing Access to the Entire Game and get a Message from Support he could buy the Game again and make a new accoutn using a different Steam Account or Epic Account .

And yes Hacking and Real Life Money trading is a pain, but there should be a real Proof someone did that and not only "oh he sold something at a Carrier and now has 5 billion credits".

Could someone possible from Frontier give me a Explanation what exactly was the Rule he broke? We talking about someone who did not know how to fly his ship few days before this happend.

this is old
several people have done it and were not smart enough
several hang out on the discords trying to make everyone believe fdev is out to get them, they never cheated...as they do it again, and again.
to pay someone real money, $5 or $100, to help them earn credits - this is the issue, idiots do this and more idiots help them

it is a game, play it.
if you buy portions of effort, you are paying to win, you are being a lazy person too lazy to actually play the game but instead feel entitled and that it is ok to buy rank and ships etc for other idiots willing to break rules.

I can trade on my carriers anything any prices I want(limited).
I can make as many cmdrs into billionaires as I want(limited).

but , the first one to offer real life money will get us both banned.

Not too likely I will have any issue, I don't do that nor will I ever. I would report the entire conversation though if it happened.
I actually like the game and actually play it.
and I don't cheat or associate with those that do.

in the days of BBS's
we used to spread the names of people like this around, making it easier to get them banned every where.

As i said its not me who got banned cause i primary do Deep core mining and selling at a Station.

And as i said Real Money trading is sh*** and every Buyer but also Seller should got Perma Banned.

But if you can set as you say any Price (limited) at your carrier and as example sell someone something for a super cheap price and have a _Buy Order set for the maximum you can set how is that Real Money trade or Hacking if no real money was asked or used and nothing was hacked or a bug used?
Its cheating the System yes possible but its not doing something the game does not allow you to do or is it?

For me the Question is if someone use the Options the Game offers and does not Sell somethign for Real Life Cash how can that be a Reason for a Ban?
Possible he was stupid that he accepted the offer from the other Player sure, but as i said only using Ingame Options , something the Devs give to the Player , withouth Hacking Bug Using or Real Money Trade should not be a Perma Ban. If something like that is not wanted, a simple Warning, removal of the Cash from his Account or deleting the entire Char and all Assets would be enough i think.
