Question about X52 non pro..

Can somebody who owns one of these joystick/throttles please tell me if the throttle has a hat switch or similiar, placed for your thumb, that can be used for the thrusters ingame?

Not for your thumb no, but it has a D-Pad on the back of the throttle (index finger can reach it) which I use for lateral thrusters.

I have an x52 non pro and the the throttle has a hat on the back that is controlled with your index finger and it is used for thrusters yes. If you choose default x52 profile in ED then the throttle hat functions like that

I really want to have a thumb hat for my thrusters, so my next question is, do the CH pro throttle and CH fighterstick play well with Win 8.1 x64?

Yes, there are eight possible positions.

It is 8-way but you have to enable it through the software. There's a thread on here that explains it all.
