Question: Can we build our own Park entrance?

Best Frontier and Community,

I've watched the live streams, I've been also playing Alpha1,
And i mention that we can only use a preset park entrance.
I would love to have a option like in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, That, by custom community content, we can add a invincible entrance and create our own buildings around it.
What i would love to see, is that we can place several ticket booths, where guests actually buy their tickets, and we can theme around the Ticket booths, so we could actually create entrances like Disney or Efteling.

If we could create our own building around the entrance of the park we could give our own touch to our welcoming plaza of the park.
I hope the Dev. team would agree, that a first impression of the entree plaza has to be a good one to satisfy the guests.

(Another great idea would be if we could build, create and actually lay down roads, parking lots and hotels to make the simulation even better, but i think those are a little to much to add maybe).

I sure wish for customized entrances, also for ride booths without the steel shaped objects in front of it, so that we can customize it to our needs.
What i liked about Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, is that we could actually delete the signs, and replace those with theming and billboards.

P.S. I also like to have square queue lines and paths, not only the round shaped ones.

So, let me know if anyone in the community has ideas or share my kind of interests in this subject.

Regards,

Wes.

They did announce a long time ago we would be able to build our own park entrances.

Have your guests enter your park with a sense of wonder, here we see a few jaw-droppingly gorgeous entrances that can be created in Planet Coaster.

Also in another video from an interview there were ride entrances without the yellow metal structure. But nothing has been announced officially as far as i know.

Yeah, some of this (announced or not) is just almost a given based on this development team's attention to detail.

Totally expected...
- Customizable park entrance
- Variable queue entrance structures (ticket booth) including an option for none.

A good idea...
- Having the actual payment ticket booths at the park entrance (for parks that charge admission.) This is highly realistic. Large theme parks have to plan for a very large area with lots of staff and ticket windows to keep the crowds moving. This is the first stop for guests with the second stop being the actual front gate where another employee has to scan your ticket to get in. Some people might purchase a "season" or annual pass and could bypass the ticket booths and go straight to the gates.

Maybe...
- Car parking lots

Expansion?
- Hotels

But can we place them anywhere we want?

You would have to take it one step farther. [big grin]

I know I havn't heard but if we can build them ourselves I can't see why we couldn't.

Even the parks/fairs that charge per ride does it by selling tickets so the individual rides arren't holding cash. (that I have seen) so there is still a need for Ticket booths.

When i was growing up we could enter our local park for .25 and buy ride tickets. We would go all the time. pay our quater. Eat a Pronto pup (corn dog) and ride a couple rides and go home.

That be a great Idea to place them where you want but the most ideal place is to place them on the edge of the map so you can maximize the space for your park for rides and other stuff

In RCT3 after the Soaked expansion was released, you could make an island with a mountain in the center and have the peeps coming out of the side of the mountain to the park entrance if you wanted.

Thing is, we have to deal with a preset entrance in every Alpha or live stream so far.

The idea of Ticket Booths is because every BIG themepark, not the smaller ones, are operating with a entrance fee and free rides. (Universal, Disney, Europapark, Efteling, Alton Towers, Six Flags, Cedar Fair Parks, Etc.)
They live from merchandise and restaurant/food/drink sales. That is where the money come from.
So that might add a economic challenge as well.

The hotels and Parking lots as a expensionpack isn't a bad idea at all.
