I think he meant if the old G5 module had been converted into the new system and not engineered back up to G5

Of course, why anyone would do such a thing is a mystery!

That's exactly what I mean though.

If you had an FSD capable of jumping a ship 70Ly in 2.x it doesn't matter whether or not it's a legacy mod' and it doesn't matter if it can be improved upon in 3.0 and is now equivalent to a good G4 mod'.

That FSD won't perform worse in 3.0 than it did in 2.x
