Do you need an Advanced Discovery Scanner and a Detailed Surface Scanner to get complete system info?

Yes, if you want to get the maximum amount of money out of it. The DSS pays for itself in no time flat. But if you only have one empty slot the ADS will get you a long way.
ADS will discover every object in system with one ping, DSS will reveal additional data when you scan them.
If you only "ping&go" then DSS will be of no use to you, if you actually stop to scan planets (which you really should), then DSS gives you nice boost to credits income (not to mention more information on the system map
)

I gave a try to intermidate dicovery scanner, but after few runs i find out that is not waht i looked for, i suppouse is fine if you trying to find earth-like planets as they should be quite close to standard suns [not giants] as golden zone is not so far from sun to keep fluid wather, but you will not recognise with this scanner multiple star systems. But if you want to scan whole systems ADS is mandatory
I've been flying around with the ADS for some time, but it occurred to me that I wasn't seeing as much info as I see other CMDRs showing, hence the question

Not sure if you're asking how to use the detailed scanner of if asking whether OP is using it... but if former, then:
Detailed surface scanner is used passively and automatically whenever you do your regular scanning routine (point nose, keep steady for 10s-30s)
The advanced scanner will save you time - it is a pain in the behind to fly around systems looking for planets sometimes. You can use motion parallax to find most planets without the scanner, but it just saves a lot of time.
Detailed Surface Scanner makes you more money - gives you more information about planets you scan. Worth getting and using, it is kind of fun sometimes to scan all the planets and see which ones are terraformable, which ones aren't, which ones have tons of metal, and interesting to look at the stats on the world and the different atmospheres, different stuff.
