I came onboard ED from standard beta 1. I was wondering did this include the "digital backers version" of the game ie the one where you get the loan if you can't cover ship insurance?

Every player gets the loan option, regardless.
What you get as a beta backer is 25% discount on the insurance cost. Alpha backers get 50%.
Everyone gets a loan of up to 200 kCr in such cases.
As a beta backer, you get 25% off the insurance costs.

Thanks guys, thought as much. Main reason I asked as I seen in the newcomers forum a guy asking if he lost his ship.
