Question from a PC noob about Elite on triple monitors.

I currently play on xbox but I'm planning on switching to pc once I have the money saved. The build I'm aiming for is either ryzen 2600x or 2700x depending on how much more prices drop, and an Asus gtx 1070. Can anyone tell me if I'll be able to run triple monitors with reasonable performance?

I'm not too bothered about using ultra graphics settings or having an insanely high frame rate since I've only ever played on console. I do love the idea of triple monitor Elite though. It looks awesome.

Be careful. The 3 monitor configuration you want, is, at the end, a one, big screen for 5760x1080 ( with 3x Full HD monitors or more if you use UHD monitor ).

I found this topic , talk about what you need

Thanks. The replies in that link are pretty encouraging. I've got a while to do some more research on it anyway but right now a 1070 is the one.

Is Elite a particularly demanding game for a graphics card? I had a look on gpucheck com and the fps of the games on their list vary quite a lot.

It might "look" awesome, but alas it's not.

Side monitors are distorted and selecting a panel just swings it onto the center monitor.

I had 3 1920X1200 monitors at one time, and swapped that out for a 38" 3440X1440 monitor.

Hoping to go to the new 38" 3880X1600 LG GySync 1441Hz when it finally comes out.
