Question: Gas Giants w/ Ammonia-Based Life & Thargoid Sensors

Am I correct in believing that 100% of systems with a "gas giant w/ ammonia-based life" also has Thargoid sensors lying around the system?

I have examined several dozen systems with this gas giant and always found Thargoid sensors. No exception since I started looking.

They only appear on landable planets/moons within a system that either holds an ammonia-life bearing gas giant, or a full-fledged ammonia world, anywhere within the galaxy.

But yes, the correlation is to the presence of said ammonia life. You can find these sensors even in Colonia and the Bubble.

I'm about 7300+ LY outside the bubble... heading towards The Formidine Rift...

I just scanned a system with a large ammonia life bearing gas giant that had maybe half a dozen rocky moons.

I scanned every one of those moons...

Lo and Behold... Non-Human Signature Detected!

I landed and went to check it out, and sure about...

It was a Thargoid Sensor!

Having read this, I came across a system with an ammonia life-bearing gas giant. Scanned every moon, and every planet in the system, but had no non-human signature detected.

If you leave the system then return, you will find non-human sources on the landible planets. If there are only a couple planets it might take several visits. And each visit the planets with non-human sources (thargoid sensors) might change. Its RNG per planet.

Since my Original Post I have visited several dozen systems with gas giant w/ ammonia-based life in several regions across the galaxy.
  • Except a few cases with no landable planets in the system I have always been able to find thargoid sensors.
  • The "Non-Human" (thargoid sensor) locations will change when revisiting a system. Some planets will have them, then others. It is RNG per planet. They are certainly not persistent or consistent locations.
  • There might be favorable conditions on a planet for a non-human signatures. Some planets seem to always have several, while other planets they come and go on each system visit.
  • In smaller systems Thargoid Sensors might not be initially found. Revisiting the instance will eventually make one appear. Sometimes it takes several revists. Once scanned with the DSS you do not need to rescan the planets. Close proximity to the planets on revists to the system will show the non-human signatures in the Nav Panel.

I just noticed... most of my screenshots of Thargoid Sensors shown here and many other screenshots are are in darkness. Not all. But most.

I only screen capture the first one I find per system. Given the choice on a planet with multiple POIs I prefer to land on the bright side of a planet, not the dark side. Yet most are in darkness.

Interesting Note:
I recently stumbled across a system with two gas giant w/ ammonia-based life orbiting a single star. The probability of finding non-human signatures on planets and moons did not seem any different.
