Question: How to access and manage suit inventory in Odyssey?

Sunday Greetings fellow CMDRS -

I am fairly new to world of Elite Dangerous in general, and just started to play Odyssey last week. I am enjoying having space legs and have just about managed to work out how equipping your suits/skins work. I am though struggling with suit inventory -

I have no idea how to access my inventory and cannot see any key bind options at all.

Can I only access inventory at a console or when Im in my starship?
Is there a key-bind option for inventory that i can call up anytime regardless of where i am and what i am doing?
Does each suit and ship contain its own inventory and can we swap items between these easily?

As you can tell I am completely clueless at the moment........My thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction

After hitting Q and pulling up the insight menu, how do I manipulate it to choose an option?

For me, it’s the hat controller on my joystick. I guess it’s whatever you use for menus elsewhere?

W A S D keys should work to navigate the wheel, spacebar to select

Thanks for the replies. I am wondering why we are limited to accessing our suit inventories in certain places only. For me it seems to only work, just before your embark your starship and on planet surfaces? Surely we should be able to access inventory (even if its just that of our current loadout) anyplace, anytime....

Every time you board ship or srv your suit inventory is transfered to master storage (shared by ship and srv). When you buy or sell consumables, assets, goods on station your master storage is used. This is why you can buy 100 of each consumable in pioneers store and every time you disembark on surface your current suit is automatically restock with maximum allowed consumables the suit can carry.

.... and there is apparently no way to view my inventory of mod materials unless you are in the SRV or Ship ?!?? Why oh why? I guess I can do to the bartender and start a trade to see.....

Yes, when on foot you can only see contents of inventory when talking to bartender it's annoying as hell.
