Horizons Question... I have lowered my cargo scoop but cant pick up any miniarls?

I'm in frount an rock and my scanner says there are min in it. I have shot ot but nothing happens. Then when I find an small rock I cant pick it up. can some one help?

Once you shoot the rock, small pieces are created....you have to target the chuck, then drive over it similar to scooping canisters in space. Have to target and scoop one at a time.

you need a mining laser to shoot off shards from an asteroid, the shards are then targetable and scoopable. But you also need a refinery fitted to your ship to do anything with it.

Hmmm, I may have incorrectly assumed he was on a SRV....wasn't completely clear.

Ya in in SRV. First thing I have an X52 and i went into controls settings and setup targeting. But in game it wont SPOT an target location. I think that is the trouble I'm having. Cant pick up anything because cant target anything.

Go back to a simple key setting for targetting, such as letter T if it doesn't conflict with anything else, and see if that works first. If still you can't target, sounds like a bug that needs reporting. But you have to see a little grey diamond in front of or close to the rock first, like with targeting a ship.
