I know that for you to unlock PP weaponry you need to be pledged to a power for 4 weeks and be rank 3, i'm currently pledged to Arissa Lavigny-Duval, rank 4, 3 weeks and 4 days, in 3 days il unlock the imperial hammer, next i'm going to pledge to Aisling Duval to get prismatic shields, and then Li Yong-Rui for the pack hounds and so on, my confusion now stands in the following, after i pledge to Aisling Duval will i still be able to buy imperial hammers, or would i have to re-pledge to Arissa Lavigny-Duval and wait another 4 weeks? If so, would it be better just to buy a handful of imperial hammers in case i wanna mess/have multiple builds/engineered hammers choices so i don't have to wait another 4 weeks?

Yes, I have multiple ships parked that just store copies of the pp weapons I may want to use. I also bought a pile of prismatic shields in various sizes when i unlocked them ( about 500m worth at the time ). Otherwise like you say you have to wait another 4wk just to buy a extra imperial hammer or whatever; better to buy in bulk.
