Question on pvp, ships and ganking..

I'd definitely say "don't just take my word for it". Really - go race it on the Okinura time trial. Test it properly, and as you say - mess around with different builds. Once you try the Viper though...I suspect you'll sell the Imp Eagle.

Appreciate all the advice and will certainly get to working on an even better Viper build. I am not too much into racing, never done it and know those guys are hard core FAO types, which means I would get smoked no matter what I am flying. Ha! Might give it a go though! Thank you! Also, I think the main deal of the OP was "harassing" Gankers, which seems like the most fun, so if the Viper and a nice LR/SP Rail does that trick, this is the goal! By the way, I do have question on Racing... is there anywhere in the game that there's an actual, FDEV built "course" setup for racing? Like an actual "track" or maybe obstacle course type setup? Thanks!

No, there's no FDEv tracks. It's all community-run, but it's an active community with stuff going on all the time- separate thread on this today here: links & vids included.

One point though...the vast majority of racers btw are not FAoff, so that isn't a barrier.. 100% FA off racing is pretty rare.
