no. any cargo is bound to an instance - you loose that instance the moment you leave it (or get destroyed), and cargo is gone.
if there would be a second player in this instance, and you would return to the same instance, cargo would be still there (but anyway cargo looses integrity quite rapidly ... drop a T of cargo and see it desintegrating).

Waste of time.
Cargo gets dropped in an instance and starts to deteriorate.
When you die you leave the instance and 2 things can happen:
1) there is no other player there so the instance vanishes and takes the cargo with it.
2) There is another player there, but by the time you can get back aal the cargo has reached 0% hull and has vanished.
