Horizons Question on Ship Battle Damage?.

I am nearly certain that a year or so back someone posted a screenshot of their ship in dock showing damage after a bruising battle. Yesterday in my FDL I got into a dogfight with an Anaconda which I destroyed in the end but he had my shields down and ship integrity at 10% when it was over. On reaching the station to deliver my mission and re-arm/repair my ship I thought it would be a good opportunity to take some screenshots of a ship with only 10% hull integrity left. Expecting to see my ship practically wrecked, I was mightily surprised to find her exterior as pristine as the day we smashed the champagne bottle on her nose, not even so much as a scratch on her. Is this correct?.

I'm not sure about the FDL. The Anaconda still has the best damage modeling. My Asp Explorer's damage is displayed strictly via the wear and tear on her paint job:

It's specifically the paintjob wear that shows battle damage - when you 'repair all' while docked, it will repair everything except your paint. What's percent is your paint at?

The Anaconda is the only Ship with a persistent (Structural) Battle Damage model.
But even it (like all the others) will reset the "Battle Scars" (2D/Painted damage decals) as soon as the Instance is left.

So in order to check out the visuals, one must remain in the Instance. Any hop into SuperCruise or any jump - and it's gone, back to normal.

Ah, thanks for that. I assumed it was the paintjob he meant. :)

First off, thanks for the replies. I never checked it at the time it happened so leaving the Instance will explain why no damage showed on the superstructure, but my paint job was also completely untouched and I checked this all in the landing bay before going into the station proper and repaired it which was almost 120,00cr.
