If you decide to request a ship transfer - do you have to wait at the station until it arrives or request it and then tootle off to do stuff while it is in transit?

It takes much longer over greater distances - the Bubble to Colonia is 61 hours! - so it wouldn't be reasonable to be held hostage until it arrived. I generally have half my fleet being shipped one way or another, then often straight on again. I need a PA.
Depends on how far away the transfer is but... I will initiate the transfer (where possible) just before logging off. When you get back in, you have a little Xmas present waiting for you
