Question relating to Founders World

A lot of the DW/FGE mission CMDRs will be approaching the coveted pilots federation rank of Elite in Exploration after getting home, dusting down their flight suits, hosing out their cockpits and de-crusting their CMDR seats. My question is relating to Founders world. Do all Elite pilots get automatic access and what ships/modules etc. are available there? I am aware a 10% discount exists but I was wondering what other goodies await my (future) Elite rank status?

All elite pilots get access, and they stock everything at 10% discount, that is all ships and all modules, not sure about PP ones though.

You can get rank locked ships there but you still need to have the required rank in the first place.
Also, PP specific modules, like prismatic shields for example, are not available at founders world.

Last time I went to Shinrarta just before DW there were a couple of yahoos shooting players in open, so be prepared. One of them was in a sidewinder which was a bit of a head scratching moment.

Indeed. My exploration Clipper got blown up by some yahoo in their Battleclipper, in Open at Shinrarta a few months ago (then again I could have taken steps in avoiding that had I had my wits back then - but it was late, I was tired and wanting to go to bed). Most unsporting, and unseemly considering the significance of the system. Should be frowned upon I say.

Fly safe o7

On a side note, be aware of the fact that even if the trip to and from Beagle Point is, well, longer than most trips, there's no guarantee you'll hit Elite status when you have sold all of your cartographic data. However 2 trips to Beagle Point should get you really close :)

CMDR R1nzl3r made the trip in Dec. 2015, and did not hit Elite, even when farming exploring Neutron star fields. I do, however expect him to reach Elite returning from this second trip.

I'm 45% Pioneer currently, 100mil in exploration data earned. I am anticipating another 70mil on top of that will get me to Elite.

I think a lot of it depends on your exploring style.

My normal mode of travel has me honk the system, scan the primary, and take a peek at the system map. I'll go after nearby ELWs, WW,s AW, neutron stars and black holes. I average 16k per system for this, so that's about 10,000 jumps to hit Elite status from absolute scratch. Hitting from Ranger is more like 6500 jumps, which is totally in the ballpark for DW there-and-back.

That said, any straight BBing will of course bring back lower returns. I BB'd probably 20-25% of DW. I haven't done the calculations to see what a BB'd system brings in on the average, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more like 5k per system to honk, scoop, and jump. If I don't BB much on the return trip, I'll probably just about hit Elite from this. If I do, then I won't.

I think this depends largely on how you got there, and what you did. If you just honk-and-jump every system, without any detail scanning, you should get around 30 million or so. Detail scanning will start to increase that a great deal.
