Question to devs

Hello Frontier/Community!

Yesterday after the AMA I got this theory in my head and now I really wonder how Frontier's look at this problem is.

What will happen with cheaters? In planet coaster it is super easy to cheat for example money. Will this be different in planet zoo Because i am afraid that people will cheat money and conservation coins and thereby ruin the animal market. What will be done against these people and to prevent those people?

Or will it be unpossible to ruin the animal market for them?

"EDIT: Because my question seems not clear enough
To clarify here is an example of my thoughts:

There are 100 people playing planet zoo, release has been 3 days ago. These 100 people put a total of 325 animals on the market, At this exact moment, One of those 100 players hacks his currency. And no the devs did NOT notice it. He just bought all the 325 animals of the market. All the other players no longer are able to buy animals, They report it on the forum and 2 hours later the devs notice it and rollback the market? or .. ? "
(the numbers used in this example are random)

Kind regards,
Jan-Bas

How do you cheat money in PlanCo?

The market is a online feature, I'm sure they will notice when someone is not following the guidelines.

ofcourse they will notice, but wont it be too late :p and for the first question i am not here to answer that ;)

In what mode? Singleplayer, sandbox? People cheat for money in every single sandbox game. So they will cheat in this one as well.

The Franchise multiplayer, always online mode is a different story and developers can see and do care what you do there. Cheaters will be punished, just like in any other MP game.

Okey let me clarify my question,

This is why its my question to the devs, no one that is not a dev will be able to answer my question probbably. Trust me i understand how hackers and security work. I just want to know what Frontiers strategy is gonna be.

Apparently though cheat codes are in the game, so I assume there will be a cheat code which allows you to get loads of money. Now, there's no confirmation of a money cheat code, but they did confirm cheats in an AMA yesterday.

The main question would be, how is your game linked with the server, and how do you crack it?

What Jan-Bas describes is a worst case scenario, I'm sure Frontier will have ideas and solutions, but I don't expect them to share it here, as that would actually be information someone would need to make any hack succesful.

Every online game has cheaters/hackers its unpreventable

Absolutely true, Usually those get banned as well.

Perhaps Frontier will have the insight to keep the files that include money/conservation credit amounts on their's or Steam's servers. That may well be another reason why Franchise Mode is online only.

Planet Coaster does not have a cheat code for endless money. It has a sandbox where money doesn't apply. You can convert a scenario save game or career mode to sandbox.. but then it's just a sandbox.
