Horizons Question to long passanger Trip

Question to long passanger Trip:
i am on a Long passanger trip close to Center of the Galaxy ,(well Payd) i have 2 wqeeks and 6 Days for the Trip ..But my CLipper is not jumping very faar ,..THe Passanger Data Says : if there is more time Needed its no Problem for him ,...so what do you thing how much MOORE time i can use for the trip (if needed ) ?

My guess is as you run out of time his satisfaction level begins to dissipate to the point where he decides to jump ship and not pay you. I find this aspect of the game ludicrous, did a transport mission, yes he didn't want to be scanned, went 100 lys, was pulling into the destination and unable to outrun a security scan, at which point he cries for you to let him out at nearest station, well I docked at his requested station and he didn't pay. I no longer take those kinds of missions anymore. And then there are the ones who cry about hull damage, why are they crying if my hull gets damaged, I'm the one that should be crying cause I have to fixit. I don't see losing a small percentage of hull as a big deal, but lose 1% and the passengers will not pay you for the trip, that is a stupid dynamic. The game is dangerous, stuff happens, its not a perfect universe. OK maybe prorate the fee or something, but I lost a couple fares for scraping the letterbox upon docking. That happens sometimes in the big ships.

I dont think many people have taken long term missions to be honest. 3 weeks to get to the center AND BACK is....ah ......no.

It takes seasons.. real seasons like a winter to go to the center and back and be sane at the end. If you just rush jump there and back it is a game killer.

I have 3 that wanted just 11,000 Ly and I am wishing there was more time. Way to many systems to look through for 3 weeks.

Currently I am taking 2 missions to the Heart & Soul region. They both wanted to go to same place, paying 51 mil. It is a 15k round trip. 4 days so far have passed and I still have 1000 lys to go, but have been taking in the sights and haven't gone in a straight line. Only take another hour to do the 30 or so jumps to get there so I still have plenty of time to explore the nebulas before I need to head back. But have seen those missions going 20k lys one way, don't care what they pay, I ain't taking them, that's just too far for a 3 WK trip. When I take these, I want time to see the sights and explore, not just jump and scoop. This trip was 7500 lys one way, a little bit further then I would like, but doable, made it easier when there were 2 missions going to same place, otherwise I would of passed on it.

Just returned from Heart & Soul Nebula trip, trip ended up taking over 700 jumps, course I was doing some extra exploring along the way, had 2 days to spare, but was sweating the last 3k lys. Won't ever take another passenger mission that far out again, will settle for 2000 ly trip or less, for less money as well, but 3 weeks is barely enough time for the 15000 round trip I just did. Others may not have much problems, but I tend to get sidetracked a lot, and my OCD makes it difficult to leave a system with undiscovered objects in it, which means I will travel that 450000 ls to scan that Icy Rock if it hasn't been tagged already. On this latest trip I have over 2700 potential first discoveries out of over 3400 spacial scans I conducted.

but I lost a couple fares for scraping the letterbox upon docking. That happens sometimes in the big ships.

Big ships don't have shields?

I took several missions with my Orca where they didn't want hull damage and even though I scraped station and even exited station in bumber-car style they never lost happiness factor or refused to pay.

Anyways... going to the core and how long you need depends on a) distance, b) your ships jump range and c) rough guesttimate of how much time you need per jump.

E.g. if going to the center you have to travel roughly 25.000Ly, and another 25.000Ly to get home so totally 50.000Ly.

If you ship can jump 20Ly per jump you will need 50.000 / 20 = 2500 jumps. If you spend 2 minutes for each jump (enter system, align with next system to jump to and spool up hyperdrive to warp out, as well as a small amount of time added to cover refuelling which will be needed) then it will take you

2500 jumps * 2 minutes = 5000 minutes / 60 minutes = 83,4 hours. If you play for 2 hours each day it will take you 83,4 / 2 = 41,6 days to complete the full trip. (Note that this is given from an average of 2 minutes per jump)

If you spend more time, e.g. 4 minutes per jump due to refuelling or other things then your total time is doubled and it will take you 83,2 days to complete the full trip.

We can also reverse calculate this. 2 weeks 6 days = 20 days available. To cover 50.000Ly in 20 days you have to do 50.000 / 20 = 2500Ly per day. With a jump range of 20Ly you have to do 2500 / 20 = 125 jumps each day to complete your objective. If you manage 1 jump per minute that will only require 2,08 hours per day. 1 jump per 2 minutes and you need 4,16 hours per day.
