There used to be a Gameplay section. It was removed after the recent forum re-structure and essentially became this section: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=115
I was quite pleased that it was removed as I couldn't see what value it had - most people discussing gameplay aspects posted in DD anyway.

Yeah well, the problem with that seems to be that it's too specific.
If you're not talking about a very small range, within a specific topic, you get dumped into the Beta section which is kinda odd.
For some reason I can't post a .jpeg image of the menu.

Part of me agrees with you as the Dangerous Discussion forum is a nightmare at the best of times
Not sure why you got moved into beta unless what you are trying to discuss (missions/engineers etc) is related to the upcoming update...
Yeah direct image upload got deactivated

- We have disabled the usage of uploading image media directly to the forums.
Unfortunately, after many months of monitoring, attempts to curve off the overhead, and other means to reduce the server load caused by image media... we’ve ultimately disabled the ability to directly upload images of any sort to the forums. We have looked into methods to offload the media to other mediums, but all have fell short of what we are looking for in terms of security, ability for users to control said attachments and general management of said items.
You will need to use a site such as imgur.com for posting images to the forums from now on.

But can you not see the irony in having a support forum that doesn't have any support?
And moving a post deemed inappropriate to the sub-forum topic to another sub-forum which is just as irrelevant?
But given the generally ambivalent not to mention, high handed attitude of Frontier to Elite Dangerous in general perhaps we should all be wondering why we bother to support the game at all?
Cool graphics (sic) hardly make up for some of the most monotonous game play since Metin 2.
We're paying for this. It isn't a charity. Yet Frontier seems to be run by smirking clowns and dorks with no personality.
