Questions about Lockdown state.

When the faction in control of a system is in lockdown, can anything be done during the lockdown to increase another factions influence and decrease the controlling factions influence?

Also, is there anything that can be done and increase or decrease how long the lockdown last?

I read a Dev log that said nothing can effect a lockdown state, but also read info from other sites that said some things could.

Thanks!

Yes and no.

All conventional means of increasing or decreasing influence are null during a lockdown.

Lockdowns are triggered when too many players engage in criminal activity meaning they go murder hobo on clean civilan ships and system authority ships. (Smuggling contraband is more a civil unrest thing.)

When a Lockdown is engaged, many station services are offline thus meaning the only way to affect influence will be the continued murder of ships.

Continuing to murder clean ships will reduce the influence of the faction the ship was flying for and murder of system authority will hurt the controlling faction. However this will extend the Lockdown.

Bounty Hunting profits will go up however and their influence increases double. Turning in Bounty vouchers for a specific faction will increase the influence of that faction. All bounty hunting will decrease Lockdown duration when cashed in. If enough are turned in, the Lockdown may last at minimum a day.

Thank for the help! (I owe you 1 rep, must have given you some recently.)

Turning in Bounty vouchers for a specific faction will increase the influence of that faction.

How does black market trading effect a lockdown?
(Assuming the lockdown has ended) How do you turn in bounties for just one faction? I thought that any bounties turned in helps the controlling faction of the system.

Black Market Trading affects Civil Unrest. To my knowledge it doesn't affect Lockdown. Though if Civil Unrest persists long enough to lower the security level of a system, a Lockdown may be instigated after Civil Unrest is dealt with.

In the contacts menu where you can turn in bounties, you can pick and choose individual bounties to turn in rather then turning in the bulk lot of them.

Generally a Controlling faction has the bulk of the bounties since they own the System Authority. If you take a KWS, the KWS may reveal and allow you to claim additional bounties placed on a wanted ship by other factions in the system. Hunt long enough with a KWS and you'll get bounties issued by all of the minor factions in varying amounts. (Though Controlling factions offer the largest, you can hold onto these to turn in later or just leave them be until your next death.)

Now that you mention that, I remember seeing a list. I never looked at it and always claimed them all.
Doesn't just the act of turning bounties also help with security of the system, which in turn helps the controlling faction?

~Hi. Does lockdown affect all systems that the faction is in? And if I have boom and then then lockdown queued can I affect the lockdown state before it triggers by bounty hunting?
