Newcomer / Intro Questions about PF (noob) Zone

I haven't left the PFZ yet, and I understand that once you i) Leave, ii) Dock outside PFZ, and iii) Level up a Pilot Grade, that you can't return.

I have a couple of ships now, how do I get to the ships docked in the PFZ if I leave?

Just to add (for others' benefit) that you can't buy a DSS scanner in the PFZ either.
